Arcadia Nature Preschoolers Explore the Apple Life Cycle by Making Cider
December 19, 2024
At Arcadia Nature Preschool, the annual cider festival is more than just a fun tradition—it’s a unique way for young learners to connect with nature. This year, students rolled up their sleeves to press fresh apples into cider, diving into every step of the process under the guidance of their educators.
Through hands-on exploration, they uncovered the fascinating journey of an apple’s life cycle, from blossoms in the spring to the ripe fruit of fall. This interactive activity also introduced broader concepts like seasonal changes and the importance of plants in our ecosystems—all while giving students the satisfaction of creating something tangible and delicious.
By blending play, exploration, and discovery, Arcadia Nature Preschool turns moments like these into lasting lessons, fostering curiosity and a love for nature in every child.
