Warhol's Eagle: Resilience Heard Round the World
On view in the Concord Free Public Library, Concord
March 26 to August 1, 2025
The Museum of American Bird Art at Mass Audubon is excited to announce the temporary installation of our stunning work of art by Andy Warhol, on loan to The William Munroe Special Collections at the Concord Free Public Library.
In honor of the Concord250 celebrations, Warhol’s original silkscreen of a Bald Eagle provides an inspirational and poignant reminder of the fight for independence and the ongoing struggle for environmental justice and conservation.
The exhibition will also feature two accompanying programs, which invites you to explore your artistic side.

Tuesday, April 29, 6:30-7:30 pm

Come explore the world of birds as seen through the eyes of artists. Mass Audubon has been inextricably linked with art since its founding in 1896, commissioning the best wildlife artists of the day to create works of art meant to educate and inspire the people of Massachusetts. Join us for an evening of art, birds, conservation, and history, as we explore the wonder of nature at the intersection of art and birds.
Dr. Jennifer S. Tafe, Director of Mass Audubon’s Museum of American Bird Art (MABA), will share some of the incredible art from MABA’s collection, including the story behind the striking Bald Eagle silkscreen painting by Andy Warhol on display at the library in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
