Field School: Living with Wildlife

Description

Turkeys, foxes, coyotes, andrats?! Wildlife populations have changed dramatically over the past century here on Cape Cod. In this course, we will investigate the positive and negative interactions between humans and wildlife through field trips and conversation.

A visit to the Cape Wildlife Center in Barnstable will provide a special experience to learn about their work supporting local wild animals on Cape Cod. We will also look carefully at how the use of certain rodenticides have impacted raptors here on the Cape, and we will discuss the best practices for making your home a haven for wildlife.

*Please note: the hours listed on the schedule may vary from the sample schedule in the field school brochure and are subject to change based on tides, staff, optimal wildlife sightings, and other variables. A detailed schedule will be prepared and sent to registrants at approximately 3-4 weeks in advance.

This course is one of several Cape Cod Field Schools offered. To learn more, visit www.massaudubon.org/capecodfieldschools.
