Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary - Part-time

Preschool Teachers
Location: Lincoln, MA

Join the Mass Audubon team and be a part of Massachusetts’ largest conservation and environmental education organization! Drumlin Farm Community Preschool seeks dynamic, energetic part-time teachers (12-20 hours/week) to teach hands-on farm/nature curriculum with a multi-disciplinary focus, to preschoolers on a working farm and sanctuary. Individuals will work with Director to implement, develop and oversee preschool program in accordance with Mass Audubon’s goals and objectives, as well as MA state regulations.

Position begins September 2009 and ends late June 2010 with opportunities to extend teaching time within our summer camp program.

Qualifications: EEC Teacher certification, BA degree in Early Childhood Education or relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience working with preschool age children required. Experience in curriculum development, implementation and evaluation of programs desired. Teacher must possess a love of nature and teaching outdoors along with an eagerness to learn how to handle animals (both farm animals and wildlife) within an educational setting for children and families. Strong communication and collaboration skills a must.
