Updated Massachusetts Breeding Bird Atlas 2 Handbook
Atlas methods are firmly established and should be followed conscientiously to assure compatibility between the data from Atlas 1 and Atlas 2. Below is a link to download the Massachusetts Breeding Bird Atlas 2 Handbook. Please read the Handbook prior to registering for an Atlas block, and don't hesitate to contact us with questions. While the main methods of this project will not change, we will make changes to this document, including introducing new types of surveys in 2009. We will notify registered Atlas 2 participants of the changes to the Handbook, so be sure to sign-up.
