Wildwood Facilities

Mass Audubon's Monadnock Conservation Center, the home of Wildwood, is nestled in the Monadnock region of southwestern New Hampshire, adjacent to the Annett State Forest and 1,300 acres of conservation land. Situated in the shadows of Mt. Monadnock, the nearby towns of Rindge and Jaffrey serve as base camps for many day hikers, bicyclists, and nature enthusiasts across New England.

Mass Audubon owns more than 2,000 feet of frontage on clean, clear Hubbard Pond - the rest of the frontage belongs to the state forest, ensuring a virtually private waterfront for our campers. Visitors and residents alike attest to the area's boundless outdoor recreational opportunities and unspoiled natural beauty.

While at Wildwood campers, live in clusters of platform tents or cabins, called units. Campers of similar age and gender make up each unit. Located in each unit is a washhouse with toilets and sinks. A short distance from the units is the new central shower facility and the Wellness Center.

The camp also boasts two activity centers for indoor activities, open fields for recreational games, and a large Dining Hall that overlooks Hubbard Pond. We are proud to be fully accredited by the American Camping Association.

Wildwood is within easy access to major highways and well-paved secondary roads. Approximate driving times and distances to and from Rindge, NH:

Boston, MA: 70 miles, 90 minutes
Hartford, CT: 112 miles, 2 hours
Concord, NH: 55 miles, 75 minutes
