Barn and Nature Center at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary

Located along the Ipswich River, this 2,265-acre wildlife sanctuary offers two attractive meeting spaces to accommodate your group’s needs. The Barn offers a comfortable, quaint open space for large gatherings with an opportunity for smaller groupings within the space. The recently renovated Nature Center is a smaller building located across from the Barn. It offers a more intimate meeting space along with spectacular close-up views of native birds feeding in the sanctuary’s bird habitat garden.

Types of Functions: Group meetings (usually environmental groups); private functions must be approved by sanctuary director

Maximum Capacity: The Barn–100 people seated, maximum 80 people seated with tables; Nature Center–maximum 36 people seated, maximum 20 people seated with tables

Availability: September through May. Due to day camp programming, we are unable to rent our facilities from mid – June through August 31st.

Rates: For-profits/private rentals—the Barn $100/hour or $600 for full day (available from 9:00 am to 5 pm); the Nature Center $50 per hour or $300 for full day - available from 9:00 am to 5 pm). A deposit of $50 must be received within 10 days of booking the reservation. Payment of balance due must be received at the time of the event.

Food Storage/Prep: Refrigerator use available for Barn rentals

Parking: Onsite parking available

A/V Equipment: Overhead screen available in the barn

Additional Amenities: Access to ten miles of sanctuary trails, butterfly and bird habitat gardens

Please note: No smoking inside or outside the building. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises. All activity is restricted to the scheduled room(s). Responsibility for setup and cleanup lies solely with the renter(s).
